South Coast Branch works with Regional SLSQ Staff to coordinate training and assessment with club trainers and branch assessors and facilitators. Courses on offer include:

- Silver Medallion Beach Management
These courses will be conducted on a quarterly basis throughout the year. Please refer to the Branch Calendar for specific dates.

The Director of Education (DOE), formerly Superintendent Instruction and Education, is responsible for the coordination of all training within the Branch working through the Chief Training Officers (CTOs) at each club. The Director’s role is mainly a support role to assist CTOs meet their club objectives in line with Branch and SLSQ/SLSA expectations
The Director of Education and Club CTOs meet on a regular basis through the Board of Life Saving to discuss training and development issues. The DOE represents these issues on the Branch Executive and elevates relevant issues to State through the Branch President, the Director of Lifesaving, and the Regional Representative on the State Education Panel.
