Gold Coast Youth Ball – 12-17years – Currumbin RSL
Registrations for the 2024 Gold Coast Youth Development Ball to be held at Currumbin RSL on Friday 24 May 2024.
What’s it all about?
The Gold Coast Youth Development Ball provides an opportunity for the Gold Coast Youth to come together and celebrate their achievements for the season, make some new friends and, most importantly, have HEAPS of fun.
On the night, the kids will arrive, and we will do a small awards presentation. The kids will be served with dinner & dessert, and then we will have a DJ so the kids can dance. There will be a photo wall so they can take photos while they are all dressed up!
Who Can Apply?
Members are eligible to attend as a Youth Participant if they meet the following criteria:
Be aged 12 – 17 years of age at the time of the ball.
Be a current financial member of a South Coast or Point Danger Branch Affiliated Surf Life Saving Club.
The Role of a Chaperone:
As a Youth Ball Chaperone, your role is to directly engage with the attendees from your club. You will be responsible for the children for the duration of the night and are expected to make sure they are all behaving appropriately.
Members are eligible to register as a chaperone if they meet the following criteria:
Be 18 years or over – this is very important.
Be a current financial member of a South Coast or Point Danger Branch Affiliated Surf Life Saving Club.
Hold a ‘Working with Children Blue Card or Exemption Notice.
Show leadership qualities and, most importantly, have a good rapport with youth.
When & where is it?
The 2024 Gold Coast Youth Development Ball will be held at Currumbin RSL on Friday, 24 May 2024.
Drop Off Time – 6:00 pm for a 6:30 pm start.
Pick Up Time – Between 9:30pm and 10pm. Attendees must be collected by a parent/guardian unless prior written consent is sent to pryan@lifesaving.com.au.
Dress Code – Cocktail/Semi Formal
How much will it cost?
The cost for the event will be $60 per person (incl. GST) for all attendees.
Please note there is no transport available for this event. It is up to the club/the individual to make their way to the venue.
Interested – Where to from Here?
You will need to have your Club Admin/Youth Development Office or Nipper JAC fill out the below JotForm application. This form must be completed in one go once clubs have a list of all youth members who wish to attend, chaperones, their dietary requirements & their emergency contacts. If you are responsible for filling out the form, you will need to read ALL instructions on the form and ensure that you are filling it out as required. This form is NOT to be filled out by youth attendees directly, and the response will be deleted. If you are an attendee reading this and are interested in coming along, please contact your club directly so they can organise this for you.
Tickets are running on a round allocation basis – all clubs will be allocated 1 table of 10 (1 chaperone + 9 attendees). If your club has more than 1 table of attendees wishing to attend, please click the box at the end of the form, and following the closure of round 1 allocations, you will be contacted with a link to register another table of attendees.
If you do not submit any names within the specified round 1 dates – your table will be reallocated for round 2. There is no leeway for these dates & if you miss the cut-off, we cannot guarantee there will be any tables left for your club.
