- Point Lookout Surf Life Saving Club
Point Lookout SLSC is situated on a rocky headland on the north eastern tip of North Stradbroke Island. The Club was founded in 1947 as a result of the rapid growth of beach culture in the immediate post-war years and due to its remote location. Point Lookout SLSC is the only surf club in Queensland that patrols two beaches (Cylinder and Main Beach) and one of the few remaining clubs to offer accomodation to members in a traditional bunkroom.
- Coochiemudlo Island Surf Life Saving Club
Coochiemudlo SLSC is a small club nestled in the bay between Coochiemudlo Island and Redlands on the mainland. The Club was founded in 2001 to service the island community and holiday tourists.
- Southport Surf Life Saving Club
Southport SLSC was established in 1924, although as early as 1913 volunteer lifesavers served at Main Beach after a drowning disaster which took the lives of 3 men. Throughout the 1970s and 80s Southport won 17 State, 6 Australian and two World Championship Titles.
- Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club
Surfers Paradise SLSC was formed in 1925 by local residents who held their first meeting at Jim Cavill’s Hotel. The Club was to offer security to bathers who came to the area and to the Hotel. Today Surfers Paradise beach is without doubt one of the busiest beaches in Australia and the Club members excel in competition.
- BMD Northcliffe Surf Life Saving Club
BMD Northcliffe SLSC was established in 1947 as a volunteer lifesaving club patrolling the beach just south of Surfers paradise on the Gold Coast. Over the years, BMD Northcliffe has developed into one of Australia’s premier Surf Life Saving Clubs having won the Australian Surf Life Saving Club Championship since 2004 and the World Champion Club since 2008.
- Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club
Broadbeach SLSC was formed in 1935, the first clubhouse being a tent pitched in the sand dunes. While the view of the ocean hasn’t changed, the current clubhouse is a far cry from the 1930’s when that dedicated group of young men from Brisbane chose Broadbeach as the one spot on the Gold Coast to patrol. Recently Broadbeach have proven to be champion IRB competitors.
- Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club
Kurrawa SLSC, located in the heart of Broadbeach, was formed in 1958 to supply services which would help minimise danger and prevent loss of life or injury on Kurrawa beach and in the aquatic environment. Kurrawa has a rich and rewarding history in both lifesaving and surf sports.
- Mermaid Beach AEME Surf Life Saving Club
The Mermaid Beach AEME SLSC is a unique organisation as it embodies two of Australia’s most instantly recognisable “icons”, the Digger and the Surf Life Saver. The reference to AEME in the club name acknowledges those responsible for its beginning in 1945, the soldiers of the Watercraft Workshops, Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from Bulimba – Brisbane.
- Nobby's Beach Surf Life Saving Club
Nobbys Beach SLSC officially came into being in 1954 during the latter years of World War II when the training army officers established beach patrols to protect the tourists who had started flocking to Nobbys Beach. When the war ended, so did the patrols and it would be almost another decade before they officially started again.
- Miami Beach Surf Life Saving Club
Miami Beach SLSC was officially founded in 1947 by six men from Southport SLSC and five men from Brisbane in a meeting at the Miami Hotel. Although still one of the smaller clubs on the Gold Coast, with a proud history of cultivating a family-orientated environment, the Club has grown significantly from a timber shack supporting 11.
- North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club
North Burleigh SLSC was founded in 1949 from the desire of several local residents to establish a permanent beach patrol on the beach known as Little Burleigh. It is a community oriented club with established programs in all aspects of Surf Sports.
- Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park Surf Life Saving Club
Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park SLSC was formally founded in 1923 by Burleigh locals and the Mowbray Park Life Saving and Athletic Club (located on the Brisbane River). Burleigh has grown to be one of the busiest beaches on the Gold Coast with a strong competitor base.
